Shengal Democratic Autonomous Administration issued a message on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the liberation of the city from ISIS. Pointing out that Shengal was liberated on November 13, 2015 with great heroism and resistance, the statement said, "This step was developed under the leadership of freedom guerrillas and YBŞ forces of YPG-YPJ fighters. Shengal was liberated street by street, house by house and step by step. First of all, we are in this resistance breakthrough. We commemorate the martyrs with respect and promise to create an autonomous and free Shengal.

 

THE BETRAYEL OF THE KDP

 

Pointing out that the Yazidi people broke the chains of slavery, the statement reminded that the forces affiliated with the KDP fled during the attacks. The statement said, "The KDP continued its betrayal. They wanted to continue this line of betrayal in the move to liberate Shengal.

 

Pointing out that the attacks by the KDP and Turkey continued in the 7th year of the liberation of Shengal, the statement continued: "The Turkish state is attacking both Yazidis and freedom guerrillas. Our pioneers, such as Martyr Seid, Mam Zeki, Zerdeşt Şengali, liberated Shengal. The freedom guerrillas who played a role in the liberation of Shengal, are being targeted by the Turkish state today. On the anniversary of the liberation of Shengal, we promise our people and our martyrs that we will create a free and autonomous Shengal, whatever the cost is."
