Şehriban Çoban who is being held in Şakran Prison for 2 and a half years told about the violations of rights in prison to her mother Nazife Çoban on the phone. Prisoner Çoban told that there were 20 people in a ward built for 15, said cleaning supplies are not being provided and that there is a 70 year old prisoner in the ward as well as a cancer patient and a mother with a baby. Çoban stated that the sick prisoners are not taken to the hospitals and they are not given disinfectants.

 

Stating that their ward is being raided by the guards every 15 days, said there is a quarantine ward next to them and only 2 FETÖ prisoners are staying in there. Saying that 2 prison doctors, 2 prisoners and 12 guards have tested positive for the coronavirus, said both the doctors and the guards have physically contacted the prisoners.

 

Mother Nafiye Çoban, on the other hand, reacted against the fact that no precautions were taken in the prisons after the epidemic that caused the death of thousands of people, and demanded that the prisons be emptied without any discrimination.
