HDP Co-chair Cahit Kırkazak emphasized the importance of securing physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan for the peace process to progress and stressed that the “right to hope” must be implemented without delay both politically and legally.
In the tributes made for the late DEM Party Êlih Provincial Co-Chair Mustafa Mesut Tekik, it was stated, “He left behind a life full of struggle, a life dedicated to his people. May our people's hearts be strong.”
The DEM Party has issued a statement regarding the PKK’s congress and stated, “Today, we are witnessing one of the most important and critical turning points in Turkey’s recent history.”

The PKK has announced that it convenet its 12th Congress following a “Call for Peace and a Democratic Society” made by Abdullah Öcalan. It was stated that the congress results decisions and related documents will be shared soon.

Nazime Bayhan, Co-chair of TUAYDER, stated that there are 90 ill prisoners in the prisons in Antalya and said, "There are seriously ill prisoners. We do not want them to come out in coffins. They must be released as soon as possible."
The relatives of prisoners, who say they are waiting for the government and the authorities to take immediate steps and release their prisoners, stated, “We are waiting for both peace and what Mr. Öcalan will say.”
6 prisoners in Şakran Women's Closed Prison were sentenced to 1 month communicaiton penalty and 3 prisoners were sentenced to 1 month ban from activities.
Ronahi Sırdaş, a prisoners in Kayseri Bünyan Women’s Closed Prison, stated that they were attacked by ordinary prisoners when they were taken to the hospital.
Stressing that the condition of ill prisoner Devrim Ayık has worsened, his mother Hülya Ayık said, “If you extend the hand of peace, you have to take steps. First and foremost, ill prisoners must be released.”
